Hello everyone,
Just wanted to let you all know that Mom is doing well with her eating, sleeping and acclimating herself to the South.
We still have to get the color of those "colored people" to black, her phone blinks when we had it on caller ID (which has been disabled), and she is working on reading the Sharon Herald digital edition. I worked with her today and we got to page 8A, which only took two hours to navigate to. She just can't find the darn arrow or hand and why you have to keep it still over the item you want to click on she doesn't know.
Really though, she is doing well. Carol took her to have her hair done today and she likes the stylist very well and has made a next appointment. She spent some time outside on the patio Sunday and today.
She also has been walking a bit around the house to gain some strength so she can go to her cane, which I think she'll be able to do in a week or so.
She gets up every morning about 8:00-8:30 and has a cup of decaf and breakfast. Some times the breakfast is just a piece of cinnamon-raisin toast, or an apple fritter and other two other times she had eggs and toast. She eats a good lunch with tea and good dinner, usually cleaning her plate.
She has an appointment to visit our family physician next Wednesday.
Wee, that's all for now. I'll send out short progress notes like this occasionally and hope you'll give her a call. It will be a while until I get her to the email stage so written or phone contact is where we're at now.
Love
Phil

Grandma Great got word of an vacancy at the Haun Hilton
Grandma Great is moving to South Carolina. We got the final word from her doctor and grandma Haun is moving to the Haun Hilton. We're all in a hustle to get the "Bama" room cleared out and get new furniture for her room.
Phil's having a little bit of a time loosing his "Bama" room, but I think he will adjust!
Looks like she will be arriving around November 18 - 19. Marsha is busy getting things taken care of in Pa. and believe me there is a lot to do. Dentist, doctors, pedicures, insurance etc.
Grandma has never lived anywhere else her whole life and we're really hopeful that she will adjust. The warm weather should surely help.
Watch for updates on the room changes!

The Granddog!
I would like everyone to meet my FEROCIOUS, ATTACH dog- Simon. Notice that protected me by slaying the buffalo that dared enter my living room.... I need to get a "Beware of Dog" sign for my front yard to make sure this does not happen to anyone else......
